Wet Hire
The term wet hire usually refers to a type of hire where the machine and operator is supplied. The rate will be inclusive of the operator’s labour, machine & fuel. Wet hire is often a preferred choice as it is a more complete solution and much more convenient.
For more complex machinery to operate Wet Hire takes away the stress of sourcing your own operator.
Dry Hire
The term dry hire usually refers to a type of hire where only the machine will be supplied. The hirer will be responsible for organising a skilled operator and fuel. There can be benefits to dry hire especially for more simpler machinery such as rollers and smaller excavators where operators will be easier to source.
Dry hire can be a great lower cost option if the hirer is able to source skilled operators themselves. However, it can become a costly experience as the hirer will be liable for any damages to the machinery. Less experienced operators can also be less productive which can also further be an issue.
